Summer Pep Comparison Guide

SEMAX

I’m the type of person where I can have this amazing thought or be in the process of executing an idea and someone comes in my office and suddenly I’m completely side tracked and have no idea how to get back to that zone.

I also need to balance family and work and be able to give both my attention. In summer, I feel like my brain is all over the place 🤪

Tell me I’m not alone!

I’m interested in Semax because of its potential support in focusing, decision-making, and clearer thinking. It’s also a nasal spray, not a pin

NAD+

This is actually not a peptide but a coenzyme, but it’s still the same idea of wellness at a cellular level like peptides.

I’m also the type of person where I can knock out anything if it’s before 4pm… once that time hits, I’m ready to call it a day. I’ve started to regain this back after microdosing tirz and using tesa/kpv for better sleep, but I want a little boost. I want drive. I want a checked off to-do list even if it means I’m grocery shopping at 6:30pm, ya know?

In summer, I feel like I need more energy for all the activities and unplanned date nights and girls nights I want to have 😊

I tried Nad before, but I did the tier 1, and did less than the weekly protocol, so I’m wanting to try tier 2 because I’ve heard theres a big difference… and when it works, it WORKS. No jitters , just natural focus and energy because it’s to your cells and not your heart rate.

Can you relate?

MOTS-C

I ordered this a few months ago because I heard someone talk about how it gave her more energy in the afternoon, had her in a better mood and her family could tell, and that it was coined the term “workout in a bottle”. It also helps with weightloss plateaus.

Mots-C works on the energy system underneath everything. For me, the biggest changes I recognized during the first cycle, was the feeling of targeted muscle burn during my workouts, my digestive system started working again, and I just felt overall happy- like loving life. I can’t really say that I remember feeling a jolt of energy.. but like most peptides, it works systematically and doesn’t target just one area.

I’ve heard the repeat cycles are the ones that hit harder, so I’m interested in giving this one a second go, especially when my workouts may be cut shorter, my days may be longer, and my family needs more of me.

One of my customers had this to say, when I asked her how her first round of Mots-C was going:

What do you Mean by “Cycling”/ “Cycle”

Peptides optimize your body, but with some, your body can get used to them and you can plateau. So Doctors recommend cycling on and off, so it can work optimally each time. The cycle may call for 5 days on, 2 days off or 3 days a week, etc.. for 8 weeks or 12 weeks, or maybe something different. Once you finish the vials or bottle(s) in your order, that’s when the cycle is over and there’s a recommended period of time to break. Some may be 2 weeks, some may be longer or shorter. You can find this info typically under the FAQ section on the peptide or on your prescription.

How do you know which ones to get?

I go off what interests me or what I think my body is needing or wanting most. Most of them have been for a physical change in my body, but NAD and Semax help more with the cognitive side.

You can also have a virtual consult with a Doctor, through my provider, and they can give you recommendations based on how you’re feeling or if you’re having trouble figuring out where to start. You can find that by scrolling down the main page, here.

    Peptide Highlight: Semorelin

    What is semorelin?

semorelin is a peptide injection that stimulates the production and release of growth hormone from the pituitary gland. why did I add it?I lost some weight with the glp and I didn’t want to look skinny-fat, I wanted to help support my lean muscle building and fill up lose skin with more muscle. Semorelin is 1/3 weeks currently offer and it is the one that is a little less potent- so I decided to start with that one. Since then, I’ve added a different “-morelin” to my stack.

    Potential Benefits

Enhanced Muscle Growth: By stimulating growth hormone production, Sermorelin supports muscle development, aiding in increased muscle mass and strength.

Improved Fat Metabolism: Sermorelin can help accelerate fat metabolism, making it easier to reduce body fat and achieve a leaner physique.

Increased Energy Levels:Higher levels of growth hormone can lead to improved energy and endurance, enhancing overall physical performance.

Better Sleep Quality:Growth hormone plays a role in sleep regulation. Sermorelin can help improve sleep quality, leading to better rest and recovery.

Anti-Aging Benefits: Enhanced growth hormone levels can support skin health, reduce wrinkles, and promote a youthful appearance.

    What did I notice?

I noticed better sleep even though I didn’t think sleep was an issue for me. I noticed stronger nails- first time not getting acrylic tips and actually using gel on my own strong and long nails! I noticed more lean muscle and people compliment my lean toned look which is also a result of less fat.

Some get a histamine reaction on some of the stronger versions but I didn’t have anything (no sting, no burn, etc with this one).

    Will I get bulky?

This is not growth hormone.. this only supports how much your body naturally makes. What is the protocol? This may vary per patient, but for me, it is 5 days on, 2 days off at night a couple hours after eating. For 3 months. I do it sun-Thurs and take Fri/sat off because I’ll probably forget.

    PEPTIDE HIGHLIGHT: GLP

I get asked, why did I start a GLP when I didn’t “need” it.Well, I was intrigued because I finally found an option for people who only wanted to lose 5-10lbs. I workout, I eat healthy, I’m doing all the right things, but I just can’t shed- like long-term shed, these last 10lbs. My BMI didn’t qualify for the weightloss version, and to be honest, I secretly resented that people could lose weight with no effort or discipline. I was actually very against GLPs in general- partly for this reason and the thought of “what then”?Whether you went the weightloss route which is great for those looking to lose 20lbs+ or you are finishing a glp and wondering how to maintain OR you just want to lose those 10 extra stubborn lbs and want to see your body with less inflammation… the answer could be MICRODOSE.

What is the difference between GLP and GLP/GIP?

GLP-1 (semaglutide) Mimics a natural hormone that helps regulate blood sugar, slows stomach emptying, and signals your brain that you’re full so you eat less.

GLP/GIP (Tirzepatide) Mimics 2 natural hormones- one that helps regulate blood sugar, reduce appetite, and may offer an added metabolic boost compared with a GLP-1 alone. More people tend to feel less side effects like nausea.

What about hair-loss and muscle loss?

These are 2 things that come with rapid weightloss and not getting enough nutrients with the appetite being suppressed. The approach that EllieMD constantly promotes is low and slow. The ideal scenario is to be at the lowest effective dose. One that still allows 3 meals and 2 snacks and prioritizing protein at least 1g per ideal body weight.

What does a low dose do?

I have been on a low dose since December 2025. I lost 12lbs in 6 weeks at the lowest dose. Some weeks staying the same but trusting the process. The first week or 2, I didn’t have nausea but I did have food diversion and just not hungry. Ellie Doctors supply an anti-nausea medication (I didn’t take it, but I liked that little touch). After a few weeks it levels out and once I was at my goal weight, I would skip a week or give even half the dose and have maintained the weightloss while not having the strong appetite suppression. Now it’s just the food noise is gone and my body looks more toned with the inflammation gone.

    MICRODOSE Benefits

    • Gentle Appetite Support Fewer side effects (nausea, constipation, fatigue)
    • Better portion awarenessblood sugar support & glucose control (as we age, insulin resistance decreases and our cells don’t respond like they used to- aka loss of muscle mass, more visceral fat, hormonal shifts, more sitting, poor sleep, higher cortisol, etc)
    • social flexibility (without having to say no because of “ruining your progress”)
    • pairs well with other wellness goals
    • less muscle concern
    • cardiovascular protectionlower inflammation (which contributes to heart disease, fatty liver, metabolic syndrome, accelerated aging, etc)
    • lower blood pressure
    • Gentle Appetite Support Fewer side effects (nausea, constipation, fatigue)
    • Better portion awareness

Do I have to stay on it forever?

It depends. You don’t HAVE to- it’s a choice you get to make. For some, who already had fitness and diet dialed in, and this was the ONE thing that you added that finally changed everything, chances are, if you drop that ONE thing, you’ll go back to where you were before. But, if you got on a GLP and then made lifestyle changes, healthy habits, added in diet and exercise, you may stop and still have success going off of it.

You can go on it, go off it, do it every other week, go down a dose, etc. You can also cancel easily in your portal. For me personally, I LOVE the way I feel and I’ll probably keep this as part of my on-going protocol- especially for all the benefits that surpass the weightloss portion and when that’s no longer the goal. There are plenty have people who have been on it long-term.

    My Peptide Stack

So while weightloss may be the motivator, there are far more benefits that come along with a GLP, even after you’ve lost the weight, that makes it my number one in my peptide stack! If you’re curious about what to add-in, check out my post on Instagram.

    Bible Journaling | John 16-18a

This week we discussed how the “friend” will come when Jesus dies.. the Holy Spirit will come to help us 1. recognize sin 2. point us to truth 3. make sense of Jesus and 4. help us honor and obey God

We talked about like having a baby may be hard, but there is joy after the pain.

ch 17. It is finally “time”

ch. 18 Jesus is seized in the garden. Judas points the Roman soldiers to the garden and shows them who Jesus is. Jesus finally says “I Am”.. which also mimics the moment God revealed himself to Moses in the burning bush as “I Am. Peter cuts off the ear of the guard and Jesus heals it. Peter denies Jesus 3 times before the rooster crowed.

We used paper plates and scrap florals/ things from the yard to make a garden of gethsemane.

    Easter Ideas with Resurrection Focus

We are going to be more intentional with Easter this year. I felt convicted about how much we focus on Christmas, but if Jesus had just been born and not died.. he would just be a man and my sin would still separate us from God. But our entire faith is based on the fact that he died and rose again conquering death and the grave so that I can receive the gift of intimate relationship with God and eternal life.

Here are some things we’ve done in the past and loved.. and some new things we are interested in doing this year!

    1. Palm Sunday– the Sunday before Easter (matthew 21)- printable maze, pin the tail on the donkey, reenact the scene (one kid or parent is the donkey, lay down coats and palm leaves), palm branches with traced hands, books: the Donkey that no one could ride, The Donkey who Carried a King
    2. Family Bible Study
      • Leading up to Easter there are a lot of Bible study plans available on you version bible app– here are 2 I found that i like. The first one is for younger ones (or kids that can’t sit that long) and it comes with a video. The 2nd one would be more for middle school and up.
      • There’s also a you version bible app for kids that we love!

    2. CRAFTS http://www.trueaimeducation.com/resurrection-craft-for-easter/, holy week

    3. MAUNDY THURSDAY PLAY (the Thursday before Easter, to reenact the scene of the upper room and ending in Jesus’s arrest).

    4. HOST A SEDER PASSOVER FEAST Remember the exodus and God’s mercy and deliverance with this themed dinner. this website makes it sound so fun!: https://monogrammedmischief.com/2018/04/10/our-kid-friendly-messianic-seder-whew/

    • Haggadah: program/bulletin of the night’s agenda (have a kid create the outline of the night and print it out or make copies)
    • exodus component: movie (prince of egypt?), Book: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vV1Ctjb8ALg
    • seder placemat: have kids draw the people coming through the parted waters or baby moses in a basket
    • passover centerpiece: make a representation of the exodus using various crafts/ materials- we used lego people
    • seder plate: something that represents the bitterness of slavery (maybe grapefruit, salt and vinegar chips), the salty tears (salt water, capers,, God’s provision (egg), mortar for bricks (apple sauce, yogurt), passover lamb (chicken nuggets, turkey)- you can use ANY food to represent these things… or set them out in the center of the table
    • wine or juice (4 little cups): symbolizes freedom
    • matzo/ breaking of bread
    • fun games and things to represent plagues, music, red scarf over door step other ideas here (bowling the 10 plagues, passover detective (tell the story with some mistakes, and see if the detectives can find them, edible plague basket, seder grab-bag game etc)

    4. Resurrection Eggs… telling the story of Easter

    5. Resurrection Party– This is the day our debt has been cancelled, that our savior rose defeating the death and the grave, conquering evil and shame, and gave us a new life in Christ. We should celebrate like no other!

    • Bingo cards– i print at office depot on cardstock! you can upload online and pickup curbside
    • Treats that represent the resurrection – breakfast of donut and donut hole to represent the grave opened
    • music playlist – click here for my spotify playlist (rattle by elevation worship, homecoming by cory asbury, come out of that grave by bethel & brandon lake, living hope by phil whickham, man of sorrows by hillsong worship, graves into gardens by elevation worship, come alive by the belonging co.)

    Bible Journaling | John 13

    John 13 Highlights

Jesus washes the disciples feet – I had the kids pick random cards- “W” for washer and blank for the person being washed. I set up bins with soapy water and set out chairs and towels. We hadn’t discussed the scripture yet, so it was funny to see how they reacted. I loved that each of it felt like how each disciple felt. Even Peter, who was like heck no.

Jesus confirms Judas will betray him and peter will deny him.

The new command to love one another.

Here’s a coloring page with clip art images from our reading

    Bible Journaling | John 11

I printed some activity pages and coloring sheet for this lesson. We also had prizes for kids that volunteered to pray out loud for us. Every meeting, I’d ask someone to open or close us in prayer and i’ve explained how easy it is and it’s just talking to Jesus. So this time, I had some candy for those that volunteered… i’m hoping they will continue to gain confidence praying out loud in a group.

SUMMARY | John 11- The Death of Lazarus

Jesus’s friend Lazarus is sick and dying, but Jesus did not come right away. Going to see Lazarus meant death for him. The Jews were trying to kill him for healing on the Sabbath day. Upon receiving the message, Jesus says that this will not end in death and it will bring glory to God. On the 3rd day He says, “it’s time” to go to Bethany (where Lazarus was).

Martha goes out to meet Jesus and says he didn’t come in time. Then Mary. 11:35 “Jesus Wept.” (we emphasized that this is the shortest book of the Bible and it’s easy to memorize.) Jesus is super emotional. He has compassion and love for them. He hurts when we hurt. Jesus prays and then calls Lazarus out. He came out. (I asked all the kids to show me what face they’d have if they saw Lazarus come out. Many believed, but some went to tell the Pharisees.
